The Strategic Approach
Given Lego's global operation and large amount of key stakeholders, it was imperative to create easy-to-read wireframes that allowed a glimpse into key marketing message positioning, user journeys and the overall experience. Once approved, the wireframes were used as the primary source of information to support visual design.
The Visual Approach
Keeping true to the nostalgia of the brand, a large color palette was selected for consistency across the eCommerce experience. All colors were based on the iconic visuals located in the Lego brand retail stores across the country. In order to maintain visual consistences across the experience, an industry standard 12 column grid was designed to optimize across all viewports.
